Amethyst : Purple color, a variety of quartz.  For meditation and enhances psychic abilities, strong and protective.  Once thought to reduce the effects of too much alcohol.  Said to help immune system and mental disorders.

Amber: Fossilized resin from prehistoric pine trees, the oldest being from the Baltic area.  Said to be electrically alive with a solidified golden light.  For healing and soothing and harmonizing.  Also spiritualizes the intellect.  Can be found in many shades from gold to brown to green colors.

Aquamarine:  Aqua blue color, a variety of beryl.  Said to purify the body and calm the nerves.  It also aids in creative self expression and helps to banish fears.  Excellent for meditation, peace and love.

Aventurine:  Green color, a variety of quartz.  Said to release fear and anxiety and purifies one mentally.  Gives one a positive attitude about life for independence, health and well-being.

Chrysocolla:  A dark green color, somewhat mottled at times.  Used for creative expression, power and communication.  An excellent stone for female disorders.  Helps clear subconscious imbalances.  Said to bring joy and emotional balance.

Citrine:  Yellow with clear, a variety of quartz.  Enhances the body's healing energy and heightens self-esteem.  Brings light-heartedness and joy and hope.  Also said to bring abundance and is a good stone for business people.

Fluorite:  Can be rainbow colors of amethyst, green, blue, yellow and clear.  A powerful healing stone that is grounding.  Excellent for meditation and concentration.

Jade:  Light to dark green, almost to black in some regions.  The jade that we sell is from British Columbia, Canada and is the most beautiful dark green jade found.  Because the stone is so hard, it is a laborious job to cut, grind and polish it requiring much patience and time.  Jade is an excellent healing stone and is said to bestow tranquility, wisdom and good fortune upon those the possess it.

Lapis Lazuli:  Dark blue in color, sometimes with gold veins throughout.  A healing stone used for tension and anxiety.  Also used for mental clarity and communication with Higher Self as well as creative expression.

Malachite:  Dark green with darker lines throughout.  A healing stone that is used to reduce stress and tension.  It is said that it will aid in sleep. 

Moonstone:  Feldspar (with aluminum). Translucent white to blue, sometimes with soft rainbow colors of pink and yellow.  An excellent stone for female problems.  Also said to relieve fear and anxiety and helps one not to over-react and to be more flexible.  An ancient stone for lovers.  Very soothing and helps with personal feeling that can be over-whelming.

Quartz Crystal:  Clear quartz crystal is a multi-purpose healing stone that activates all levels of consciousness.  It dispels negativity in one's energy field and in their environment.  It receives, stores, activates, transmits and amplifies energy.  Quartz crystal is excellent for meditation and communication with Higher Self and Spirit Guides.

Rhodenite:  Pink with darker lines at times.  Said to enhance energy levels and also used to reduce physical and emotional trauma.  Dark and light colors blend courage with love.

Rose Quartz:  From light pink to dark pink with a silvery sheen on some.  Widely known as the "love stone" and helps one to rid themselves of fear, anxiety, anger, jealousy and resentment.  Excellent for forgiveness.

Silver:  Relates to the moon and enhances mental functions.  Improves speech and is soothing.  Excellent for physical, mental and emotional cleansing.

Sodalite:  Blue with white lines throughout, sometimes confused with Lapis.  Said to alleviate fear and calms and clears the mind.  It cuts through illusion and brings clarity and truth.  It is also said to strengthen the metabolism and lymphatic system.  This stone enhances communication and expression.

Turquoise: Used for friendship and loyalty.  A general healing stone for peace of mind and emotional balance.  Dark lines in the stone are said to ward off evil.
